Twister T2 vs Twister T4 vs Twister T6
The Twister T6 has been developed for smaller growers. The T6 trimmer will trim up to 4 lbs an hour when dry and up to 3 lbs an hour wet.
The Twister T4 is the lighter and more compact option and is one of our top rental machines here in Colorado. It basically has less than half of the capacity of a Twister T2.
This trimming machine is absolutely perfect if you’re a hobbyist grower. You might actually say it’s the best thing since sliced bread!
You can trim at least 5 pounds wet or 8 dry per each hour of work with the Twister T4.
This machine is without a doubt already transforming the trimming industry by utilizing highly advanced, patent-pending Twister leaf trimmer technology.
And it’s perfect for tight spots or if you’re looking for mobility. You can literally pick up the vacuum in one hand and the T4 trimmer in the other, then carry them around.
The Twister T2 trimmer is actually a great rental here in Colorado for outdoor growers.
It’s a must have if you’re a large-scale cultivator, due to its unbelievable capacity. And you can expect up to 8 units wet and 12 dry of product per hour.
Not to mention the Twister T2 trimmer system is the world’s fastest. It comes equipped with the industry’s most powerful vacuum.
But there’s really no point in considering the Twister T2 vs T4 vs T6 comparison. All twister Trimmers serve a different purpose.
Twister Conveyor: Now You Can Trim Even Faster!
Now both of the Twister trimmers can get even faster with a completeTwister conveyor setup.
It’s really something unique. While linked back to back the Twister trimmers actually make the bud spend much less time in the machine. While covering a lot more trimming surface area.
You’ll get reduced trim and machine time, with improved speed as well as quality.
If you’re working with Twister T2’s, you can use two of them in tandem.
But if you’re a Twister T4 type of grower, you can use up to 3-4 T4’s at the same time.
No matter your choice, the rail and conveyor systems will make gravity do all of the work. The process is streamlined, so you can expect maximum efficiency.
Depending on your setup, quality control and with all the preparations done, you can expect 1-3 people operating the machines.
How To Use The Twister Trimmer System
Using a Twister Trimmer comes with absolute ease.
But before you put your machine to work, we recommend lubricating all of the blades and the shrouds. You’d want to do this in order to reduce friction, without any actual compromise on the end product.
Refined hemp oil makes an awesome lubricant. Or you can spray Ice Water on the brush every 5 minutes as an alternative to oil.
At this point, you can start trimming. Make sure to manipulate the feed speed and machine incline in order to get the highest quality trim.
You’ll see how the stationary bed knife couples with the rotating blades. This mimics the same shearing action of scissors.
It’s the reason you’ll get a final product of hand-trim quality.
You should also spray distilled ice water on the nylon brush located by the tumbler. You’ll need to do this every 5 to 7 minutes, to keep everything lubricated and protect the resin.
If you’re doing this right, you can run the Twister T2 or Twister T4 for hours on end.
The T2 Twisters use Stay Sharp blades. You can get a really precise adjustment with the help of the bedknife. We do recommend replacing the blades every 400-1000 hours.
On the other hand, The T4 does not have the same Stay Sharp blades, so you should look into getting some Twister trimmer replacement parts. Simply change the blades every 400 to 1000 hours of trimming.
How To Clean The Twister Trimmers
Before actually getting to cleaning, you need to take care of disassembly.
Luckily this is seamless with the Twister machine. You can expect a downright tool-less process.
It will literally take you less than one minute to pull everything apart.
But make sure to do a cleaning session after each day of use.
Leaving the control box aside, both Twisters are water resistant. It’s recommended to spray a natural degreaser and let the resin dissolve for 5-10 minutes before getting started.
You can then use a pressure-washer to get every inch of it done. Make sure you pay attention to all of the nooks and crannies.
It is not recommended that you power wash the vacuum unit.
Finally, move on to some cleaning alcohol for the detail work and you’re all done.
